Atlanta (March 2011) - Celebrities, key influencers and beauty industry elite converged on the City of Atlanta for the national re-launch of African Pride's olive oil infused hair care product line and the kick off of their "My Pride. My Way" campaign on Wednesday, March 16th at the King Plow Arts Center. The Master of Ceremonies was Ebony Steele (Radio Personality/Rickey Smiley Morning Show) and the event was hosted by Toccara Jones (America's Next Top Model) and Lance Gross (House of Payne) with special performances by spoken word artist Mshairi Uwezo and So So Def Recording Artist Dondria. The event featured hair demonstrations and consultations by style experts, makeovers, conversations in hair and more.
The national campaign titled, "My Pride. My Way", encourages women to write their own rules when it comes to their hair. Special Appearances included: A.J. Johnson (Actress/Fitness Coach), Derek J (Bravo/BET), Dondria (So So Def), Duane Mclaughlin (actor, Days of our Lives), Kaira Akita (Tyler Perry/BET), Keshia Knight Pulliam (Tyler Perry).
